Landscapes from the Homeland exhibition was held twice, in Spring 2002 in Istanbul Ataturk Culture Hall and on 15-30th September, 2002 in Ankara Museum of Art and Sculpture halls. The main motive of the participants was to draw pictures of Turkey with the needles they are adept at. From sea landscapes to country landscapes and historical figures, the exhibition has proven once more the richness of Turkish natural and cultural beauties.
Sadiye Okyar has partaken in the exhibition with 3 works:
Dawn from my Window
Tide & Flood
Underwater Mosaics
Especially “Dawn from my Window”, that greeted the visitors as the first piece in the hall attracted high attention and received many compliments that Mrs Okyar still cherishes. .
